Joining our company in 2010, Pieter has lengthy experience both overseas and in the New Zealand electricity industry.
Pieter is often involved in our more complex protection engagements. His experience includes the analysis of transmission and distribution power system protection; power generation interconnections, including Windfarms; power system modelling; secondary systems protection, including synchrophasor and IEC61850 GOOSE messaging designs; application of protection relay settings; protection relay bench testing; development of new standard protection schemes; protection scheme peer reviews; feasibility studies; technical specifications and performance analysis of existing or new installations.
