David joined our company in 2019 following over a decade of experience working in the electricity industry with transmission, distribution, and generation utilities. He has spent most of his career as a design consultant, working on projects around the world for consultancies based in New Zealand and in the UK. He has specialised in the field of high voltage and extra-high voltage power cable systems engineering, becoming one of New Zealand’s leading specialists in this field.
David holds CEng(UK) and is a Chartered Member of Engineering New Zealand. For several years he has been a member of the Cigre Australian Panel ‘B1’ for Insulated Cables, and through Cigre has contributed his time towards the sharing of knowledge related to insulated cables including tutorials on cable rating and assisting in the production of a technical brochure.
